The Social Care Workforce Research Unit at King’s College London conducted ten conferences on the theme of older people with Age UK London (formerly Age Concern London) and Making Research Count: choice and control (March 2019); 'resilience' (March/October 2018); 'human rights' (February 2017); 'end of life care' (February 2016); 'compassionate care' (February 2015); 'my house or my home?' (February 2014); ‘invisible communities’ (January 2013); 'addressing equalities' (January 2012); 'challenging times' (March 2011); 'personalisation' (January 2010); and, 'dignity in care' (June 2008). From 1 January 2019 the Social Care Workforce Research Unit joined with partners within King's and at the Institute for Fiscal Studies to become the NIHR Health & Social Care Workforce Research Unit. This will not have any effect on the continuation of this conference series.
