ost Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound (PGCert MSK US) is organized by Sports Medicine Ultrasound Group (SMUG) and will be held from Sep 09, 2024 - Apr 08, 2025 at University College Of Osteopathy, London, England, United Kingdom. Description: SMUG has teamed up with the University College of Osteopathy (UCO) in London (previously the British School of Osteopathy or BSO), to provide a Post Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound. This learning pathway has been set up to provide a structured, in-depth and comprehensive training programme for those clinicians looking to add diagnostic ultrasound to their musculoskeletal practice. The course is divided into two modules. The first module involves a 3 day and a 2 day teaching block, a case study (3000 words), followed by an OSCE examination. Module two involves a two-day teaching block and work-based learning. You will require a clinical supervisor for this module. You will need to complete 250 scans, 100 of these supervised and 150 unsupervised, and an audit essay (3000 words). These will need to be signed off by your clinical supervisor. The SMUG Mentorship programme compliments the post graduate certificate pathway by providing the clinical supervision component required in module 2. Many delegates will attend both of these courses.
