Our Corona Virus Response

In these challenging times, the safety of our Guests and Hosts is paramount.

Over the past few months, we have been working hard to ensure that we, and our Hosts, are doing everything we can to be primed and prepared for the moment that we are able to open our doors to Guests once again.

To ensure that our Hosts are adapting their accommodation to the Covid-19 normal, we have implemented a set of policies that each Host will follow.

These policies are made up of some fundamental and vital hygiene and safety protocols and are essential for minimizing the risk of spreading Covid-19 in our accommodations.

Our Hosts have taken part in a questionnaire aimed at understanding in detail how their accommodation can adapt to make our Guests, and Hosts as comfortable and safe as can be.

New Policies

• Hand-sanitiser will be available by the entrance to your accommodation

• Spare linen will be stored in the bedroom of the accommodation and changing of the sheets is up to the discretion of the Guest.

• Your Host will clean the bedroom at least 3 days before your stay begins and will not enter after that point

• You will be contacted by your Host to discuss how social distancing and hygiene measures can be practiced during your stay

What else have we done?

Doctor in the House prepared and issued a set of cleaning procedures and recommendations for our hosts to follow, using the advice available from the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) & WHO(World Health Organisation), you can see these guidelines by following the link below.

Doctor in the House has reconfigured its cancellation policy, with the current situation being everchanging and volatile we want to make sure Guests have as much safety in their booking as possible.

We are constantly reviewing new government guidelines and will be updating our policies in line with their recommendations. You will be able to find the new policies and the Hosts questionnaire responses on the "Guidelines" page of every accommodation Microsite.
